Misinformation on the streets of Oxford
A moment of levity in an insanely busy Tuesday…
In case you were wondering, there’s still no sign of fibre to my damn premises.
Well, not quite. A few weeks ago, OpenReach dug up the street a few houses away to unblock a duct.
Then, this morning, on my way out, two blokes in a van were rodding actual glass fibre directly into the BT manhole at the foot of my driveway. Dialogue was as follows…
DN: So when can I order better internet?
Them: We don’t know
DN: Who are you working for - Netomnia?
Them: We don’t know. But you’ve got Virgin Media here right? Fast enough just a bit expensive? Ought to do it for anyone.
Lads, if Virgin Media was enough for anyone, you’d be out of a job.
Let’s hope I get to write the last FTTP post in the series soon eh.
